Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Full Time | Ahmedabad, Gujrat, India | Senior Manager/Supervisor

SocialPilot is looking for a seasoned QA specialist to join our team as Senior Manager, QA. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both manual and automated testing. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can manage a team, oversee testing processes, and ensure the highest quality standards for our products.

This is a full-time role based in Ahmedabad, India, and might require occasional domestic and international travel.

What you will do

Oversee and Lead Projects -

  • Manage all testing activities i.e. Functional Testing, UI Testing, API testing, Security Testing, Load Testing etc from planning to execution, including leading training sessions and creating or refining processes based on feedback and best practices.
  • Offer constructive feedback to team members and suggest enhancements to processes.
  • Establish and track relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of our QA processes.
  • Lead and manage the QA team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

Test Documentation and Test Execution -

  • Review to ensure the accuracy and completeness of test documentation.
  • Actively participate in test execution and verify that software meets quality standards.
  • You ensure proper closure of testing activities, including sign-off and documentation.

Reporting and Collaborating with Other Stakeholders -

  • You work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to align quality goals. You provide clear and concise reports on test results, defects, and overall quality metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure they are met.

Quality Metrics Monitoring and QA Process Improvement -

  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continually improve QA processes

Design Test Automation Strategy –

  • Consider factors like tool selection, scope, and integration with existing processes
  • Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases, focusing on manual testing

What are you like

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of total QA experience.
  • Proven experience as a QA Manager or in a similar senior QA team-handling role.
  • Experience in the Agile Development Model.
  • Expertise in different testing types (Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Database, UI, Security, Load etc.).
  • Experience building and cultivating strong quality practices and processes.
  • Extensive experience in manual testing and a thorough understanding of QA methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Postman or similar platforms for API testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Knowledge of JMeter, Postman, etc.
  • Experience with testing of SaaS products and experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) will be a plus.
